The aim of the exhibition is, through the choice of 300 important paintings, sculptures and graphic works, dating from the end of the 1920s to 1945, and originating from all over Europe and the USA, to take a look back at a period spanning almost two decades: Dix, Grosz, Picasso, Klee, Mirò, Kokoschka, Chagall, Moore, Shuterland, Munch, Cagli, Levi, Mafai and Guttuso.

La mostra ripercorre attraverso 300 opere provenienti da tutta Europa e degli USA, un secolo di attività creativa e di passione civile in opposizione alle dittature fascista e nazista. Tra gli artisti in mostra troviamo Dix, Grosz, Picasso, Klee, Mirò, Kokoschka, Chagall, Moore, Shuterland, Munch, Cagli, Levi, Mafai e Guttuso che hanno realizzato le opere tra la fine degli anni venti e il 1945.
L’illuminazione ha contribuito a separare i vari campi visivi, a dare profondità di campo e a mantenere la concentrazione sulle opere.
